Happily Ever After

Happily Ever After
Divine Whispers: blog #3  Nov. 2012
“Once upon a time, there was a fairy princess. She lived in a magical World of goodness. But her World became darkness and the love she had always known became fear.
Fear begets fear and soon there was no room in her heart for goodness. Only room for the black fear that filled her heart and therefore her mind, her body and seeped into the outside World.
Outside the castle walls, all looked happy and sunny but eventually, the dark fear permeated the town and the people who loved there. Eventually, the woods, the rivers and fields felt the power of fear. All who lived there became subject to it.
The kingdom became ruled in vast darkness. Fear was its gruel and the people were hungry. Nothing much grows in the dark and the people went hungry. They wept.
Eventually, cold came to keep company with the dark. Black clouds obscured the sun. Now the people were cold, sick, hungry and fearful. Despair set in.
Listening from the castle window, the evil princess, for evil she had become, could no longer hear the laughter and love of her people. Only silence. At first, this made her even more fearful, but eventually, she grew accustomed to the silence. Eventually, she began to enjoy the misery of her people.
What will we do? How will we survive, mourned the people. And they began to grumble along with their stomachs. But when you are tired, cold, hungry, sick and fearful, you do nothing. And so the kingdom slept under this awful spell for a long, long time.
One day, a being arrived, full of light and wonder. He wandered in from the edges of the Great Black Forest. What manner of curse is this, he wondered. The trees are asleep and now the townspeople and the crops and the animals. Even the dark castle is silent.
The prince, for that is who he was, made his way into the castle where the weeping princess sat upon her throne of gold. Why do you weep, asked the prince. Because, said the princess, my entire life is wrapped in gray and sadness. My people have fallen asleep and I am all alone.
So the prince kissed the princess. The doors to her heart flew open wide. She smiled and the sun began to shine. The happier the princess became, the more the people began to awaken and wonder about the dark dream that had befallen them.
So the princess married the prince and they-and the kingdom-lived happily ever after.
You see, Little One, it is an old story and a happy ending. Be at peace. Do not worry.

Blessings!”
